Our brand new members are excited to share their first performance with Dublin Youth Theatre in this Debut One Act Festival. The three one act plays in the festival are: The IT by Vivienne Franzmann Cast: Ada Meyler, Bella-Rose Feely, Genevieve Morgan, Jean-Luc Mulloney, Kendra Soria Gonzalez, Marianne Binchy, Theo Saccomano "Because when they all saw Grace Freemantle lose her sh*t on the P.E field that day... I saw something different." The IT follows the story of Grace Freemantle, a "totally average" student whose world begins to fall apart as she faces external and internal horrors. Ivan and the Dogs by Hattie Naylor Cast: Tuathla Cooling, Gráinne Nally, Alin Doljescu, Ryan Skelly, Shane Carpenter, Sonja Murrogh . "...So Mothers and Fathers tried to find things they could get rid of, things that ate, things that…needed to be kept warm." 4-year old Ivan finds himself alone on the cold streets of a city where all the children, and all the dogs, are not welcome. But then, he finds a family…in a pack of dogs, and soon becomes one. Scraps devised by the company with Fionntán Larney Cast: Chloe Donnet, Linnet Walsh, Saffron Wilmot, Ollie McHugh, Robert Lee-Miller, Holly Webster Welcome to the Madhouse! Devised, written, and performed by the cast, Scraps is about the moments of connection, confusion, and contention. Memories, love and all of the moments in between. We deliver quality artistic experiences through a full and varied drama workshop programme and the production of excellent, exciting and challenging theatre made by young people. We promote the artistic, personal and social development of young people aged 14 to 22 in Dublin. DYT is committed to maintaining a high artistic standard in its productions and to engaging with contemporary theatre and youth theatre on a local, national and international level.
